Aloha PoS Reviews

We all know Aloha PoS is one of the leading electronic point of sale systems for Aloha PoSrestaurants – but is it any good? We found a number of very revealing reviews including some critical of both the retail pos hardware and restaurant software. One was from an Aloha PoS technical support operative!

In general the reviews of Aloha PoS below are mixed but – critically – the ePoS software competition doesn’t seem to be significantly better. The consensus seems to be that:

  1. Take the time to find a good Aloha PoS dealership. Ask around for recommendations, both online and from other businesses
  2. If you only have a few outlets then you need to reconsider whether you really need the sophistication of an ePoS system like Alpha PoS
  3. Keep it simple! You’ll get the most out of Aloha PoS if you don’t try to customize it too much, or push it to the limits.

Aloha PoS Features

Table Service is the Aloha PoS offering for “fine dining” restaurants (compared to fast food ones below), whether an independent establishment, part of a chain or within a hotel.

Quick Service offers a graphical interface for fast food operators in more challenging retail environments.

The Stock Control module provides extensive cost control, purchase forecasting, ordering and reporting facilities.

Labour Scheduler allows Aloha PoS managers to optimize staffing levels by allocating resources effectively. Significant savings on labour costs can be made using the graphical rota and payroll systems.

Loyalty is the module for managing customer loyalty schemes including gift cards. Targeted promotions can be designed and used by Aloha PoS to up-sell and cross-sell to regular customers to increase sales and stimulate repeat business.
